Made by The Brotherhood of the Wolf director Christophe Gans and The Rules of Attraction writer-director Roger Avary, the first Silent Hill film had a pedigree unmet by any video game adaptation so far. And (critics be damned!) that movie was awesome. The sequel boasts the slightly less impressive Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) at the helm.
Despite that and the dopey title (what’s wrong with Silent Hill 2?), we still have faith.

Well it couldn’t be called Silent Hill 2 because this is in no way based off of the game “Silent Hill 2.” It’s actually based off of “Silent Hill 3.” I’m assuming they didn’t adapt “Silent Hill 2″ because 1) it has nothing to do with the other Silent Hill games and 2) because it’s too good to adapt to a movie. Just saying.
… I’ll show myself out now.
