Just when you thought there couldn’t be another vaguely Occupy-flavored modernization of a Shakespeare classic, well, there’s another vaguely Occupy-flavored modernization of a Shakespeare classic. Tonight’s National Theater Live broadcast of Timon of Athens, at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, features a be-suited Simon Russell Beale as the titular spendthift-turned-cynical misanthrope.
So kind of like The Lion King, except for the prostitutes and class issues and gold-financed armies and actually never mind.
