BE AFRAID: ROADSTEAMER PREVIEWS NEW BANGER, “GOING BACK TO IRAQ”

Obviously this year’s biggest music news out of New England, if not the entire United States of America, if not the whole world, is that Robbie Roadsteamer is back in the saddle. Or is it off the wagon? Something like that.

Like we reported a few weeks ago, the pride of Boston has been making cameos around town, is securing proper management, and will throw a massive show on December 13 at the Middle East Downstairs. Go ahead, call it a comeback.

With so much wind in his sail, it also seems Roadsteamer landed himself a feature in The Metro for next week. During a recent photo shoot for the commuter paper, Robbie started riffing on some new material, namely a track called “Going Back to Iraq.” We can’t make out everything he barks, but there’s some kind of reference to “getting it right this time,” as well as something about Bill Cosby.

Sounds like a plan.
