EXCLUSIVE: YOUR FIRST LOOK INSIDE THUNDER ROAD OPENING SEPT 8

Written by DAN MCCARTHY Posted August 21, 2015 Filed Under: MUSIC

After a series of delays, hiccups, permitting issues and the usual string of headache-inducing issues most new venues, bars, and restaurants face, Thunder Road is finally gearing up to open in the old Radio space in Somerville’s Union Square.

GM Dan Millen says they are putting the final-last-super end of it all-touches on the space now, and all signs point to a public opening September 8. Originally they had early August as the timeframe, and had to issue a mea culpa for at least one show that was booked and then rescheduled due to the construction and permitting woes, but now it’s all looking good for post-Labor Day.

Check out their website for a roster of acts and shows already lined up, and see the slideshow below for the full monty on the place.
