FOTOBOM: THE 1975 AT HOB

Written by MIKE SCHWARZ Posted December 10, 2014 Filed Under: MUSIC

The 1975 Lead singer Mathew Healy came stumbling onto the stage, wine bottle in hand. Grabbing his guitar, he ran his hand through his long black hair as hundreds of love-struck girls screamed in approval. The 1975 had everyone’s undivided attention at the House of Blues last Saturday night. Signs reading “Marry me”, “We love you Matt Healy”, and many more could be seen throughout the audience ranging from young teens to adults. Healy played with passion, unpredictably moving around the stage in a drunken stupor. Behind him were four neon rectangles (from the cover of their debut album) illuminating the stage with white light. They played an amazing set, featuring songs from their smash hit self-titled album. The band flew to the top of the UK charts in 2013, debuting at #1 with ease. Everyone was happy to see him in the newest of Englands.
