LISTEN: DIG MIX FOR WEEK OF 10.29.14

Another week, another edition of DIG MIX. This week features two tracks from Somerville duo Pale Hands, who talked to us about morphing from hard rockers (as part of Static of the Gods) to dreamy synth-wielding electro-pop stars on their debut release Spirit Hands, which dropped yesterday. We also catch up with Michael Christmas before he skips town to L.A.; his new track with Black El, produced by Durkin, is the proverbial pat on the head (BE STRONG) before he leaves us in search of fame and Michael Cera in Hollywood. Luckily, Casso and GiO Dee are sticking around (for the moment), kind of like restocking the team with top draft picks after losing a big star, with a new track each. In the meantime, we’ve got The Rare Occasions covering Disclosure, a blazer from Somerville punk crew Mini Dresses’ new release, and Krill slapping some smooth “Peanut Butter” all over everybody. It sounds messy we know, but so worth it.
