    UPSTART FEST 2013 Press Release

    9/22 Portland ME…Geno’s Rock Club
Bands Include: The Koffin Kats, Turbo AC’s, Hudson Falcons, New Red Scare, Svetlanas (U.S.S.R.) The Jukebox Romantics, Two Fisted Law, Lost In Society, American Pinup, The Scandals, The Obvious, Fort Street, Done With You, Nightmares For A Week, Cry Havoc, Bourbon Scum, OC45, The Old Edison, The Murder Weapon, The Caught Flies, Amrev II and Doomed To Obscurity.
*Not all bands play every venue*
Upstart Fest was started to help great punk acts of all genres get onto a larger more recognized fest/tour. So often it is nearly impossible for up and coming bands to get onto larger packaged tours or large festivals like Warped tour. We felt the punk community could use a tour of its own which featured some solid national acts, combined with popular regional acts, as well as some great local acts. That way many bands at many levels of success could be represented under one nationally advertised touring festival…and we’re happy to say it has been great and this is its third season.
We would very much appreciate any press your organization can help us with, hopefully you will find this to be an interesting story of underground, independent music making good for its self.
Please send any and all inquiries to: Gina Buono at ginabuono@optonline.net
    Thank You, G

I’m having trouble adding certain items to my cart for the Dig Deals. When I go to checkout after adding the Thelonius Monkfish deal, nothing appears in the cart. Also, I don’t see the Friendly Toast deal mentioned in my email on your site. Is there something wrong on your end or my end? Some other deals will show up in the cart, but not all.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Dear Dig Boston,

I have been trying for a long time to get at least some acknowledgement of BEAMS, a novel idea.

BEAMS is not a book about Washington or Lincoln or Kennedy. But though it was written by an unknown individual, it may deserve a look-at. It’s about a great many things, not just unemployment or extraterrestrial aliens or industrial evolutions.

If you have had the good fortune to take even a quick peek at BEAMS, please feel as free as the book to let someone else know about it. Don’t just pass the buck – pass the book.

Though I may be just one of the little people of equally little consequence, I think BEAMS could be a true eye-opener.

    Thank you very much!

PS: I am not worried about copyright issues, as my name “Moshe Briel” has been effectively coded in key places in BEAMS to be disclosed in case of any dispute.
