It’s Friday. A day when you should be focused on ending the week strong, working hard through the day and even if needs be put in that extra bit of oomph well into tonight to really earn your weekend.
Wait, no. It’s a day spent waiting until you can get down to drinking. Which is why it’s a perfect time to drop your first look at Slumbrew’s brand new American Fresh Brewery Taproom at Boynton Yards, a 1,500-square-foot cathedral for all things Slumbrew (including the additional 2,500 barrels they will now be able to produce).
The new facility and watering hole (with parking!) will give patrons a chance to test out small-batch and limited-run beers right at the source, as well as grab small bites from the kitchen. Think: cheese and charcuterie boards, deconstructed Fluffernutter sandwiches, “beer-inspired” soup, and novel bar snacks (yes, that means warm bacon caramel corn). There will even be recipe kits on hand for cooking with their beers at home.
“We’re aiming to make this location a destination for all sorts of beer travelers,” says Slumbrew co-founder Caitlin Jewell via their website. “Whether people come to visit us while working through the MA Craft Brewer Passport program, or they just stop in for a snack and a beer on their night out in our vibrant part of Somerville – we have something everyone will enjoy.”
