Here comes your band… and boy are they ready for some fun.

Boston threw their arms up in a joyous chant for more at Boston Calling when hometown heroes Pixies returned to our city as the closing night headliners. It was a more than memorable show, and for those in attendance it was the best possible way to kick off the summer. Now lucky fans will get the chance to see them play the 330-capacity T.T. the Bear’s Place tonight at 9pm because sometimes dreams do come true.

Tickets go on sale today at 2pm at the Orpheum Theatre box office downtown. There are no online sales, so get a spot in line now to buy a $55 ticket. They’re nonrefundable and there’s a two ticket cap per person, so tell your friends they better join you in line if they want to come. A line has already formed.

The last time the Pixies played T.T.’s was July 30, 1987. Seeing them nearly 40 years later play the same venue is not just a treat; it’s a privilege.

“They have a bar and a pool table there, and I remember many times after soundcheck, just waiting to play the show, we’d play pool and get a little too drunk,” says drummer David Lovering in a press release. “It was a great place and as sad as it is that it’s closing, we’re very honored to be part of its last hurrah.”

The band took to their website to share a personal message about the show which you can read in full below:

To help bid adieu to Cambridge’s T.T. the Bear’s Place, one of the most iconic nightclubs in the country, Pixies will perform at the venue one last time TONIGHT.

Tickets will be priced at $55.00 and go on sale today at 2:00PM ET at the Orpheum Theatre box office.

They will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis with a two-ticket limit.

All interested must be present when purchasing the ticket as all ticket holders will be wristbanded when they buy their ticket. All attendees must be 18+, will need a valid ID, as well as their ticket and wristband in order to enter the club for the show.

If you don’t get tickets tonight, keep your chin up. The Pixies’ performance at T.T. the Bear’s Place is the first of a string of big name acts coming through in the next month to say farewell to Boston’s beloved venue. Check back here in the following weeks for more details on that as well as the “T.T.’s Farewell Blowout” from July 17 to 25.
