SXSW AND BEYOND: WEAKENED FRIENDS ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES

Written by NICHOLAS REGAN Posted February 22, 2017 Filed Under: MUSIC, Notes from the Scene

After putting out one of the best albums local albums of 2016, pop punk act Weakened Friends are ready to set that music into the wild. The group, who hail from our beautiful home of Boston and also Portland ME, are hitting the road to SXSW.

If you are going to be stuck at work or banging your head against your desk in class, don’t sweat it, they’re most likely coming to you on the road. Nearly 20 shows were just announced by the ’90s inspired fuzz rock trio including the aforementioned SXSW stop, a few days in the south, and a slew of east coast dates. Weakened Friends will be shredding Great Scott in Allston on April 5th. Last time we saw the trio, they played the Paradise Rock Club with Letters to Cleo. Now, we see our Weakened Friends stepping into a headlining role at a more intimate venue that will surely be a great show for the countless hometown fans.
