FAVORITE HIP-HOP ALBUM: CZARFACE. My favorite Hip-Hop album of the year actually comes from two guys I believe to be legends in the Boston music scene; 7L & Esoteric. They partnered up w/ Inspectah Deck of Wu-Tang Clan to become CZARFACE. Amazing album w/ top notch production by 7L.

FAVORITE LIVE SHOW: BAD RABBITS. Having been on the scene for a few years now, it wasn’t until a little over a year ago that I witness a live show. They put on a great performance and have a unique sound that captivates the audience. These guys are going places!

MOST LIKELY TO BLOW UP: ARNOLD of M|O|D. With the recent rise of trap music, it was awesome to see a Boston-based producer making waves & releasing tracks that were playable in almost all of my sets. Arnold continued to impress me with his production that was more house music/bass inspired.

I’m obviously not the only one who’s noticed, dude is on tour with Disclosure right now! That’s MAJOR!

FAVORITE PRODUCER: DURKIN. Also making waves on the interwebs right now!

Durkin has been one of my favorite producers for sometime. His remixes of Bon Thugs, ASAP Rocky, and Frank Ocean have over 100K hits on soundcloud. He’s been releasing tracks that have a unique sound; he’s definitely in his own lane right now.

He recently had a chance to play a live set on RINSE.FM! Check that out!!

FAVORITE LIVE MUSIC VENUE: THE SINCLAIR. Really dope new venue! Ran by Bowery, this medium-sized venue is a perfect alternative to a spot like the HOB. Very intimate setting allows you to have a great experience without worrying about someone ruining your Jordans.

MOST UNIQUE STYLE (ALSO WHERE I GO WHEN I’M NOT BOOKED):

A LIL’ LOUDER or PICO PICANTE. Being an open-format DJ, I’m drawn to nights/events where I can be inspired, hear all genres, and see a diverse crowd. These two nights represent just that.

Last couple of years in Boston I’ve seen a decrease in DIY type parties that are about the music and people go to actually dance. The torch is carried by these two nights that continue to push the boundaries with new music while playing classics.

FAVORITE NEW RELEASE/TRACK/MIX:

BREK.ONE – LIVE ON 88.9. Pulling a Kanye right now!

Recently had a chance to be interviewed/play a set on Boston’s legendary WERS 88.9 FM. Having listened to this station a youth growing up, I was honored to be invited to discuss music, my career, and champagne (HA!). Played a really diverse set featuring a couple Boston artists that I mentioned above that I think everyone will enjoy!
