DONALD TRUMP AND THE SOMERVILLE SHIT FIGHT OVER AN ALLEGED SCHOOL TERROR THREAT

Written by DIG STAFF Posted December 17, 2015 Filed Under: COLUMNS, Media Farm

NEW WEB HEAD TEMPLATE

It’s almost too absurd to be believed.

First you have William Tauro, a barbarian who calls himself the publisher of the Somerville News Weekly and the editor-in-chief of something called Modern Cop Magazine. On December 10, Tauro published the following Pulitzer shoo-in:

According to some concerned parents in Somerville, a potential terror threat is allegedly lurking our city streets and in our public school system in Somerville.

Allegedly the Somerville Police Department questioned four middle school aged juvenile students of being part of a terror club in Somerville to kill white students.

Police allegedly also questioned a middle school student who is believed to be the mastermind who had a manifesto in possession with plans to kill middle school white children and was allegedly charging other students, members of his club a fee of $20 per week to join his club.

Parents are concerned why the city hasn’t announced this when it happened this past week

Somerville Police are allegedly investigating the situation.

This story is still developing…

That was the whole article, with a follow-up only coming in response to a statement issued by the City of Somerville, which also put out a robocall denying the newspaper’s vague accusations. Here’s what Tauro had to say:

Somerville’s new superintendent of schools Mary Skipper’s response to the public regarding this story is that it is “Irresponsible journalism” on The Somerville News Weekly’s behalf about the story that we wrote saying it wasn’t true.

Actually we have now learned that it’s allegedly the second time that this West Somerville Neighborhood School student has done this and he was allegedly using twenty dollars a week to save up for guns.

But now that the truth has surfaced and it was very irresponsible on the Somerville School Departments behalf and the superintendent not to have backbone enough to report it nor warn parents of the existing threat the first time and again this second time.

Whether it was violent or non violent situation, the parents of Somerville’s students should know.

Today after this article broke, the administration has gather their troops in a huddle and are circling their wagons around to cover their behinds due to the fact that they did not report the incident when it happened regarding the story.

Steve Roix Biilly Tauro you have a right to be a racist...And so on. Instead of owning up to his story or offering further details about said alleged school threat, Tauro then hitched onto the coattails of America’s least accountable public figure of all. As he posted on his Facebook page Wednesday night: “Just recently got a call from the Trump Camp asking me for my permission to use my Somerville School article! Fucking ahy!” Tauro’s message for haters: “Take that and shove it up your ass!”

It should be interesting to see how this plays out. Whether there’s some kind of coverup or not though, the episode is one hell of a show to watch, especially as tempers recently flared overnight between Tauro and Steve Roix, a Somerville School Committee member who claimed that Tauro is “attacking our superintendent about those anonymous allegations” and that “allegations that have been investigated and – to my understanding- debunked by local law enforcement.”

Roix added in a Facebook post:

Billy Tauro, you have a right to be a racist douchebag….

…..but when you continue to defile our community with your racist lies and deliberately use Somerville STUDENTS AND FAMILIES, our community, to stoke completely unfounded fear in an attempt to stir racial hatred and divide our schools, when you continue to stand by and even double down on debunked stories that you were – at best, giving you the benefit of the doubt -too lazy to correctly report in the first place, I have the right to call you out on it.

I don’t give a shit how many people in Somerville you “know”or how many police officers you know or who agrees with you or that Donald Trump’s campaign is calling you – you have crossed the line and until you apologize publicly to the community and specifically to the families and students you are attempting to bully, you can add me to your enemies list. So go ahead and start printing lies and garbage about me. I don’t give a damn – I don’t like you either.

To which Tauro, seemingly a student of the Trump college of argumentation, hit back:

Somerville School Committee Steve Roix, the only douche bag here is you you’re a fucking puppet for a superintendent your a fucking douche bag repeat a fucking douche bag!

If you read the manifesto like I did you would think twice about opening your fucking bigmouth idiot read the manifesto and you’ll see you’re a fucking idiot Have a good day I thought you were better man than that but you are fucking coward!

Needless to say, we’re breaking out the popcorn in anticipation of the Donald adding Ex-Lax to this increasingly seismic Somerville shit show.
