Dear Reader
THE CHRIS FARAONE PEPSODENT COLUMN
There’s a lot more to know and love about Pepsodent—it’s owned by a New Jersey company that bought the brand from the behemoth Unilever in 2003; it has had a love-hate relationship with the American Dental Association for nearly a century, and currently lacks an ADA seal of approval; and so on. NO MASS COMMISSION TO STUDY JOURNALISM WITHOUT REPORTER INPUT
Between the countless white papers already in existence and the obvious reality on the ground that any reporter who has been in the game for more than a year can tell you about, there is already more than enough information to start planning ways to reverse the destruction that the likes of leeches such as Gatehouse Media have wrought in Mass.
STARTS + STOPS
Stop writing columns about what people should stop doing unless you have something positive to say as well.
BEYOND ENGAGEMENT: A HOPEFUL PEEK AT THE FUTURE OF COLLABORATIVE JOURNALISM
Hosted by the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University in New Jersey, the gathering showcased the potential of not only journalists working with other journalists and outlets, but also of reporters connecting with nonprofits, activists, and an increasingly participatory public.
