Cambridge’s biggest tiny venue is closing its doors far sooner than we would like to admit. The plus (and only plus)? The awesome lineup closing their long run.
T.T. the Bear’s Place will shut down at the end of July after operating as a petite staple venue in Cambridge for over 40 years. The real tears came when the Pixies were announced to play there earlier this summer and then totally obliterated the place. As announced in May, T.T.’s is celebrating the end of the era with a farewell blowout of local bands. The shows will see O Positive, Evan Dando of Lemonheads, Scruffy the Cat, Mary Lou Lord, and many more playing the stage. The final weekend shows, July 18 and 19, have not yet been announced. Keep your fingers crossed Mission of Burma are playing.
The official “TT’s Farewell Blowout” will take place on the evenings of July 17 – 25. Advanced tickets can be purchased at their box office anytime between 7PM to close. Online ticket sales will not be available. It goes without saying that you should pick up tickets sooner rather than later.
